Group Therapy

At Adventure OT, group therapy offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where neurodiverse clients can connect, grow, and engage with peers who share similar interests and experiences—fostering a strong sense of belonging and community.

Why Group Therapy?
Group OT provides meaningful opportunities for neurodivergent children to connect with peers, build confidence, and explore their strengths in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through shared interests and activities, participants explore communicating and navigating social situations, while forming genuine connections—all while feeling respected, understood, and valued for who they are. Group therapy offers a safe space where every child is supported to grow at their own pace, alongside others with similar experiences.

Occupational Therapy Assessment

At Adventure OT, our comprehensive assessments provide a clear understanding of each child’s unique strengths and differences. We take a holistic approach, evaluating sensory, motor, and social-emotional areas to provide individualised supports.

Our assessments include:

  • Functional Capacity Assessments: This is one of the preferred assessments required when applying for NDIS and advocating for ongoing funding.
  • Standardised Assessment Tools: Used to identify the underlying strengths and challenges that may be supporting or impacting your child’s ability to participate in everyday activities.
  • Observational Analysis: In-home, school, or clinic-based observations help us gain a deeper understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges, and everyday experiences—allowing us to tailor support strategies that truly reflect their needs and the environments they interact with most.
  • Parent, Child and Caregiver Input: We work in partnership with children and their families to understand what matters most to them—their goals, preferences, and everyday needs—ensuring our support is meaningful, respectful, and truly individualised.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: We work closely with other professionals—such as educators, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals—to build a shared understanding and provide cohesive, coordinated support for each child.

“We don’t use nature FOR THERAPY.

We co-faciliate therapy WITH NATURE”
